Chassis 2145 originally carried a coupe body, although its exact coachbuilder is unknown today. Automotive historian Josh Malks has suggested that this early body may have been the second Judkins coupe, assuming that chassis 2162 represented the first example of that style. Because documentation from this period is incomplete, the original body style remains a subject of informed speculation.

By the late 20th century, the chassis had undergone significant changes. In 1977, chassis 2145 was fitted with a Derham body, a body that did not originate with it, but was transferred from chassis 2536, on which it had originally been mounted.
